SKYLARK
Skylark is a subtle visual game of pure geometry, psychedelia, minimalism, and optical art, based on geometric patterns, moiré effects, and movements. A narrative about confinement is developed, positioning the viewer from the perspective of a butterfly. Its visual field narrows as the form reaches vertiginous heights, leading to the sensation of escaping the multiple oppressive tunnels.
A surrounding soundtrack composed of ethereal electronic sounds works in close collaboration with the video material in terms of synchronicity, structure, and synesthesia.

About the maker
Jérémy Oury combines audio and visual skills to make singular digital forms as architectural mapping, fulldome, digital installation and original creation for theater. He focuses his artwork on a research about illusions from geometric distortions, on the synesthesia between sound and video, and on immersive forms in order to place the viewer at the center of a minimalist virtual universe to disrupt his perception of space.
Since 2014, his artwork was awarded in various international video mapping festivals (FIMG 2015, Luz y Vanguardias 2017, Skopje 2019) and fulldome festivals (Macon 2019, HIFF 2019, Fulldome festival Jena 2018). His work has been shown in many digital festivals and exhibitions as ISEA symposium 2019 in South Korea, SATfest 2020 in Canada, FILE festival and Rio Mapping festival in Brazil, +CODE in Argentina, Domo Lleno in Colombia, FIMA in Mexico, MADATAC in Spain, 1Min Projection Mapping in Japan, KuzeFest in Chili, Macon film festival in USA, and many others in Europe.
He also works with theaters companies and he participates in several digital art installation with the artist Apach or with the ARCAAN collective.
