JERUSALEM immerses audiences into one of the world’s most beloved and enigmatic cities and asks why this tiny piece of land is sacred to half the people on earth. The story is told through the eyes of three young women — Jewish, Christian and Muslim – who call the city home. It also features renowned archaeologist, Dr. Jodi Magness, who reveals how science is revolutionizing our understanding of the city’s past. Continuously inhabited for over 5000 years, Jerusalem has inspired many of the ideas and beliefs that define Western Civilization. The film showcases the city’s sacred sites, including the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock and the crypts beneath the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. And for the first time in over 25 years, low altitude aerials of the Old City.
